This sketchbook was designed by Matthew Boyer, an apparel designer & product developer. After noticing a strong need for better communication between design & development in the industry, he set out to create a sketchbook that focuses on sharing designs with accuracy and all the details needed to turn sketches into reality.

After Attending the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in Los Angeles, Matthew worked directly in the fashion industry, honing his skills in design & development. He gained valuable personal insight into the design process & the best ways to translate ideas into complete goods for today’s market. After seeing the need, he created this tool to help share ideas with the most details and better communicate with vendors, factories, developers, and other team members.

 

With this book, designers are able to create & sketch freely while also organizing selected fabrics & trims. While streamlining the development process, this tool helps structure brands of all sizes and turn ideas into real, functioning product.
